First of all thanks for this wonderful application.

Unfortunately there are some issues and I wanted to report them:

I'm running MacOSX 10.5.8.

1) app crashes on exit (as reported by freeslander - my crashlog looks the same)
2) some applications are reported several times (e.g. Burn 1.72u and Burn 2.3u) only 2.3u is installed
3) some applications show the wrong version number (e.g. BetterZip 1.8.1) version 1.8.3 is installed
4) some applications are not shown at all

Yikes, can anyone else respond to this??

This checker works great, except:

• I have older versions of Bento showing up, v1, v2.4, and v2.5, whereas I am running the newest (Bento 3)
• I did not get any info on Office 2008 (entirely missing along with Entourage)
• And I have no idea what Rosetta is, but it appears I need it for Quicken and for another package.
• Adobe Elements 6 is loaded, and that shows up, but I also get info on Elements 2 and Elements 3, which I never loaded. Similar type results with Acrobat.
• So are these old components coming from the way Adobe updates their software??

Will appreciate it if anyone has had similar results and has any ideas.

To use Rosetta with an application, just use the get info function (command-g) locating the app in the applications folder. Then check the 'Open using Rosetta' box. This should be true in Tiger through Snow Leopard (when and if another version comes out, someone will have to confirm or update this i guess).

regarding reporting wrong or additional applications; I have the same problem. I imagine the application is pulling data from resources other than the application itself. In my case, I migrated from a Tiger laptop, so I have a few phantoms and incorrect versions. Aside from updating Checker to confirm actual app exists, it might be nice to click a link to locate it in the finder to confirm version.
