I tried downloading in Firefox and Safari. In Firefox I get a .zip and a a 'SnowChecker' icon on desktop. On Safari, just the 'SnowChecker' icon. Double clicking picture, nothing happens. Also, I cannot 'drag' from picture, just 'title'Double click title, Icon flashes, but nothing happens afterward.

The main application I want to check is MS Office v.X. I see it listed as OK with minor issues, but I've read other places that Snow Leopard has many problems with Office v.X . The problems with Office 2004 and 2008 do not look promiising either. Is there any good version of MS Office that actually works well with Snow Leopard. I'd like to be able to sync my calendar and contacts to a Rim Blackberry Pearl (2006), is the main reason I'm looking to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Maybe creating problems with MS office is not worth that 'feature'.

Is SnowChecker designed to open in non-Snow leopard OS? I saw one reference saying, first upgrade to Snow Leopard, then run SnowChecker. It would be a little late to find out one or more of your important apps does not fully (or at all) function in SL after you already purchased it and upgraded. I assumed SnowChecker would be designed to tell you FROM your current OS, if your current apps would work, IF you decided to purchase and upgrade to SL.

Prev. attempts to use S'CHkr were in 10.4.11.
Now that I have installed Snow Leopard and updated to 10.6.2,
Click download link, get no icon (.dmg, etc) on desktop, just "SnowChecker-1 644 KB" in downloads window.
I dbl click icon in D'loads window, I get "Snow Leopard Compatibility Checker window (no apps listed). At bottom of window it says: "Showing compatibility data for 0 applications.

In upper right corner I click 'Refresh Compatibility Data'. I get same blank window ("Showing compatibility data for 0 applications.)

I have an iMAc (late 2006) 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1.5 GB ram

ANy way to get Snowchecker to work for me? My most important programs are MS Office X (Excel, Word) and Quicken 2005.
- Quicken 2005 seems to work as usual (I 'get quotes' on stocks, but do not download financial dat from brokerage firms)
- Excel seems to open as normal (did not try using yet)
- Word will not open documents by dbl clicking their icon. I can open docs by highlighting icon, then going to pull down menu to 'open'. That opens Word Docs.
