WARNING: Apple is silently abandoning their older style Tioga printer drivers, and is moving towards open source CUPS drivers. This means some printer drivers will not work in Snow Leopard or have bugs, and may never be fixed. This is not specific to any one application but will be a problem across the board.

This is not news….Tioga drivers were already deprecated in favor of CUPS: that happened with the debut of Leopard 10.5. IOW, if your printer worked in 10.5, it will most likely work fine in 10.6. It's always good to check the manufacturer website to see if they have their own drivers for OS X, however.
